Make a statement: honest, ethical, environmentally friendly. With the purchase of this pillow you say “I care” against fair trade for the makers.
The Tawa pillow combines modern design with old tradition. This decorative pillow looks great as a modern accent piece in any home, but the real value is the thought behind it: helping women to provide for themselves and keeping old traditions alive.
The name Tawa comes from the Quechua word for the Inca empire, the Tawantinsuyu. It also literally means “4”! Peruvian textiles are woven with the warp and weft technique, one of the most challenging and endangered techniques in the Andes today.
The cushion is dyed with natural raw materials. The cushion has hand-knotted tassels in the corners.
