This plaid is 60 years old and comes from the region Manali Himachal Pradesh in India. It was used as a blanket and as a wrapping blanket for clothing. The blanket consists of two strips sewn together. Reason? The loom was not wider!
You can see that the plaid was used, but that gives an extra cachet to this blanket. Rugs like this are already scarce in India! If you’re looking for a plaid that no one has, you’ve found it now.
